The best aspects of the course included the fun and enjoyable labs where students got a chance to learn hands-on and even do some dissecting. The worst aspects of the course included the time consuming and occasional y disorganized labs, as well as the insufficient amount of lab materials available. There were often lots of assignments associated with labs making students to feel rushed and pressured. The course would improve if the labs were better organized and stocked with enough equipment for students in the class to use. Prospective students should expect a fairly easy biology lab with lots of engaging lab experiments and lots of dissections to partake in.

The best aspects of this course were the dissection labs, hands-on experience, and great teaching assistants. The worst aspects of this class were disorganized and tedious labs and lack of instruction and guidance. Students suggested more organized procedures, elimination of flowcharts, and use of the 28 textbook to improve the quality of this course. Prospective students should know that the grading scale is very tough, which makes it difficult to earn an A, but the class is enjoyable with the help of the right teaching assistant. Prospective students should also do their labs and be comfortable with dissection.

The best aspects of this class included the interactive and hands on labs which included multiple dissections. Many students found the labs to be too long and were frustrated they had to pay full price for the field trip to the science museum. This class could be improved by better integrating General Biology II with the Lab section, having labs with shorter wait times, providing students with more lab resources, and funding the field trips. Prospective students should know that the course is not too challenging and can be fun if dissections do not bother you.
