Seminar on current investigations in chromatin architecture, function and dynamics at single-molecule resolution, with emphasis on the biochemical, biophysical and structural mechanisms of gene expression regulation by transcription factors, nucleosome organization and dynamics, and chromatin remodeling and modifying enzymes. Lectures, student presentations and discussion of the recent literature, with development and presentation of a mock 1-yr research proposal based on discussed publications.
