This course will describe the basics of the main experimental techniques used in physical chemistry/chemical physics experiments. These include vacuum generating and pressure measuring techniques, ion optics and a variety of mass spectrometers, light optics and the capabilities of a variety of lasers, gas and cryogenic handling.
