The best aspects of the course included the engaging professor and the subject of topology. The worst aspect of the course was the level of difficulty experienced with the problems. The students expressed frustration at the fact that their homework assignments were rarely given back to them. The course would improve if there was more in-class practice of the problem sets or if there was a section with a teaching assistant. Prospective students should have some previous background in Analysis I. Overal , it was a fun, but chal enging course.

The material presented in this course was fascinating and the instructor was organized and enthusiastic about the subject. Some students thought the time needed to complete homework was the worst aspect of the course. Fewer homework sets and additional recitation time were both suggested improvements to the course. Students interested in this course should be comfortable with proof-based math. The course is highly recommended by students, especial y for those interested in abstract mathematics.
