What is time? How does time function in the making of science, technology and medicine? How did the meaning of time change through colonial encounter and through postcolonial economies of knowledge? This course will investigate the meanings and articulations of time and temporality in the context of scientific and medical knowledge and practice. The course will also investigate how colonial history impacts the production of time.
