Average Course Rating

(-1)

This course provides an introduction to philosophical issues raised by developments in Artificial Intelligence. For example, can a machine be conscious? (What is consciousness?) What light, if any, do developments in AI shed on age-old debates about nature vs. nurture? If an AI model can think, do we have ethical obligations towards it? (Note: specific topics change from year to year.)
