The object of all of our scientific inquiries, it is said, is the true. The object of our ethical inquiries, as to what is of value or worthwhile, is the true. Yet both of these notions have struck many philosophers as not only hard to understand, but simply weird. This course will inquire into the nature of good and true, trying to understand what we mean by these words and their place in our lives.
