Topic: Nature and Reason in German Philosophy (late 18th to early 20th century) Student-centered course design: All students are welcome to send in suggestions for readings in German philosophy (e.g., Kant, German Idealism, Neo-Kantianism, Phenomenology, Women Philosophers, etc.). Potential readings will be discussed in the first session, a preliminary selection will then be made together and adjusted along the way. Close-reading seminar: We will focus on close reading of the texts, that is, we will be reading individual passages together and discussing them in detail.
