The best aspects of this course included the fascinating and practical course material, as well as straightforward lectures and exams. The worst aspects of the course included the dul lectures and the ineffective teaching assistants, who had difficulty staying on schedule. The course would improve if the lectures were more engaging and focused. It would also improve if the practice problems were more relevant and applicable to the real world. Students felt that this course offered them a very chal enging but interesting opportunity to learn about materials and theories that would be useful in the real world. However, students found the exams to be stressful and difficult, and the slides somewhat vague. Students suggested adding more Bloomberg tutorials, better lecture notes, and more thorough questions on the exams. Prospective students should have good statistical skills and be prepared to attend the lecture to take very detailed notes.

Students praised this course and its instructor who brought in real-life examples and taught subject matter that was very applicable to life and business. While students broadly liked the course, some students found the course was too math intensive and in addition, the instructor sometimes sped through some material. Suggestions for improvement were few though some students wanted the instructors to find more ways to engage students by making the course more interactive or encouraging more in-class discussions. Prospective students should know that students broadly found this course to be a great introduction to careers in finance; however, they also found that students should have some knowledge of finance in order to be successful in the course. 115
