This course will investigate theories and practices of organizing in 20th-century US politics. We’ll investigate the origins of the concept of organizing, and some of the organizing methods developed by social and political movements. And we’ll examine a range of political mobilizations such as civil rights, women's liberation, white supremacy, and the Tea Party.
