creditsAverage Course Rating
Manipulative information such as mis-, disinformation and hate speech have increasingly damaged trust in democratic governance, polarized societies and targeted vulnerable groups such as youth, women and forcibly displaced people. This course creates multi-disciplinary pathways for students to understand how manipulative information impacts these vulnerable populations and which solutions are most effective in mitigating digital threats. As part of the course, students will develop their own digital projects – including videos, memes, chatbots and social media campaigns – to improve information integrity and help vulnerable groups build resilience to various forms of manipulative information.
