High praise was given to the rapid pace of the class and the engaging learning material. Students found the connection between Spanish and Italian helpful. However, many students did not think the class had enough structure and found it more like an independent study with little guidance from the instructor. 167Additional formal instruction and more writing practice were suggested improvements to the course. Prospective students should know that in order to receive credit students found it important to have completed both Elements I and II. Students found that proficiency in Spanish made the course easier.
