This course serves as an introduction to the literatures of Brazil, Portugal, and Portuguese-Speaking Africa. Through selected poetry, prose, and drama over the centuries, it examines notable artists, movements, and themes in their respective cultural and historical contexts, exploring points of cross-cultural exchange. The course is taught in Portuguese. May not be taken on a Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory basis. Prereq: two semesters of Portuguese, AS.210.278 or Instructor approval
