Topic will include the origins and impacts of variolation, vaccination, and immunization, while also investigating the influence of colonialism and geopolitical forces on the history of vaccines and public health. Although a background in biology is encouraged, biomedicine will not be the main focus of the class but instead will focus on social-behavioral sciences. This is a Gordis Teaching Fellowship course.
