This course is designed to provide students with an overview of the field of counseling as a profession. It will introduce students to and define the subject matter of counseling psychology, the target population the counseling professional seeks to serve, and the theories and technical tools that inform practice. Moreover, the course will provided students with an introduction to basic counseling skills.
