Many people are unaware of the diversity of medical and health careers. This one-week program introduces a variety of medical and health careers to college students. It covers the multiple specialties of physicians, physician assistant, nurse careers, professional therapists (physical, occupational, respiratory, radiation), dentist, veterinarian, genetic counselor, medical laboratory scientist, clinical trial professionals, clinical social worker, and public health related careers. Students will interview and network with diverse medical and health professionals, observe professionals while working, gain knowledge about the career preparations and pathways, and develop a personal development plan.
