Many students enrolled in this course agreed that it was a great experience learning both the Korean language and culture. Students also learned Korean dialogue and grammar and saw an improvement in their skil s in just a semester. However, students felt overwhelmed by the extensive vocabulary and the pressure to nail terms on quizzes. In addition, many students expected more listening practice and disliked both the textbook and workbook. In order to improve the quality of this course, it was suggested that there be a different textbook used, more review of vocabulary before quizzes, and more speaking practice. Prospective students should have some background in Korean to make success easier to attain.
