Beginning with a foundation in sound, this class will take a hands-on approach toward the understanding of location sound recording. Students will come to understand both theoretically and practically how to use sound equipment, how to set proper audio levels, booming techniques, choosing mics, tentacle syncs, and best radio frequency practices, with the overall goal of how to make artistic audio choices and how to get the highest quality sound based on real-world applications.
