The Leadership Gyroscope introduces learners to the art and science of leadership. A skilled leader seeks to find the equilibrium among many competing factors by balancing the opportunities and challenges facing them. Learners are expected to develop increasing levels of curiosity and commitment to studying and practicing leadership in life and in their vocations for the greater good. In particular, the course focuses on the cultivation of learners’ ability to ask consequential questions and utilize a wide range of resources available to them throughout their JHU education experience. The course utilizes an interdisciplinary approach, providing learners with diverse, powerful tools to create effective leadership and productive collaborations, while improving decision-making.
