This course examines the critical role of leadership in addressing interconnected global crises—including ideology, energy, economy, environment, technology, and food systems—that collectively impact planetary health. Students will critically analyze how these complex systems create cascading challenges and explore the leader’s role in driving meaningful change. Beyond online learning, the course features a transformative 10-day international residency. This immersive experience deepens intellectual and emotional engagement, fostering a reflective and ethically informed approach to global challenges. Through pre-departure preparation, in-country experiences, and post-trip reintegration, students under lasting personal, academic, and professional transformation. Designed for MS in Organizational Leadership students, the course is also open to students from all AAP and JHU programs who seek to advance planetary health through leadership in their organizations and communities.
