The course will examine effective communications strategies, including branding, product launches and internal communications. Students will look at messaging channels, both internal and external, focusing on how to reach diverse stakeholders using tools such as AI and social media. They will also evaluate messaging that has worked effectively, as well as communications failures. Through case studies students will examine real world examples from the financial, telecom, media and entertainment industries. Students will also focus on product launches, mergers and acquisitions. There could be some overlap with an existing Crisis Management Course BU.610.705.31. However, this course will be more from a broad communications perspective looking how the landscape of corporate messaging is changing rapidly.
