This course equips professionals to navigate technology-driven disruption, design platform ecosystems, and harness AI for competitive advantage. Bridging theory and practice, it explores why leading technology companies are outcompeted, how to predict market tipping points, and strategies for capturing value in global and AI-intensive contexts. Through case studies (e.g., Alibaba, Rivian), a simulation (Back Bay Battery), and frameworks (e.g., disruption, diffusion, ecosystems, data network effects), students learn to craft strategies in technology-intensive settings. The course also contains one to two guest speakers.
