Part 2 of this course sequence is taught during the second half of the spring semester. It consists of a computational project that provides practical training in the simulation of electrical potentials and electric fields in volume conductors, using the finite element package COMSOL. The project reinforces and augments the theoretical concepts presented in Part 1 and will be carried out by teams mentored by the instructors and teaching assistants. Prerequisite: 580.435/635.
