This course will teach the fundamental theory in optical microscopy, including propagation of eletromagnetic wave, and Fourier optic. The course will also teach how the theoretical framework is practiced and applied in modern microscopy, by in-class demonstration and hands-on lab projects. Background knowledge: Fourier transform, linear algebra.
