Developing AI interventions for healthcare requires skills not only to train AI models but also to evaluate them. Evaluating AI for healthcare relies on concepts such as dataset shifts, missing data, statistical inference, frameworks for study design and validity of evidence. This course will integrate concepts required for evaluation and scientific reporting of AI interventions for healthcare into a project-based learning environment. Students are required to have prior training and/or experience with machine learning or deep learning model development.
