This is a seminar and reading course devoted to the discussion of the cellular and molecular processes underlying neuronal circuit development. Topics and dates covered include Axon guidance; Target Matching; Guidance at the CNS midline; Regulation of process self-avoidance; tiling and mosaic spacing; Pruning; Glial influences on connectivity; Sexiual dimorphism in neural circuits; Development of a social brain; Viral tracing and single neuron RNAseq. Students must have either completed Neuroscience and Cognition I or have received the consent of the course directors prior to registering for this course.
