DNA and protein gel electrophoresis, Restriction enzyme digestion and cloning, polymerase chain reaction, colony PCR and screening recombinants, Preparing routinely used buffers, bacterial and mammalian protein expression systems, mammalian tissue culture, bacterial and mammalian expression systems, light and fluorescent microscopy. The student will also be trained in routine laboratory and tissue culture maintenance, writing protocols and maintaining lab notes.
