The discovery of programmed cell death and its biological processes has facilitated identification of important therapeutic targets for the treatment of intractable diseases, such as cancer and heart failure. My lab aims to understand the mechanisms governing cell death and survival. We welcome students who are interested in basic sciences related to cell biology, cancer biology, and molecular biology. Students can work with researchers, and can attend regular lab meetings and journal clubs.
