This project: 1) investigates simvastatin as a novel treatment of uterine fibroids (the most common uterine tumor); and 2) develops an in vitro uterine model using 3D cell culture. Students will perform cell culture and molecular biology experiments. Upon successful completion of the semester, student is expected to have an abstract presented at a national, local or institutional conference and be a coauthor on a scientific paper.
