Thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP) used to be invariably fatal, but with appropriate treatment, most patients survive the acute episode and are at risk for long term adverse outcome. The student will learn to evaluate patient reported outcomes using PROMIS measures (http://www.healthmeasures.net/explore-measurement-systems/nih-toolbox) in TTP survivors, perform appropriate analyses, and evaluate patient and disease related predictors of adverse outcomes.
