This seminar provides the student with the applied methods and analytical tools needed to address health outcomes across the lifespan. Students will have the opportunity to critically examine how environmental, behavioral, and systemic factors influence health outcomes, while exploring relevant theories, concepts and methods to address variations in care delivery and population health trends. Emphasis is on the current state of the science and research approaches including community and other partner engagement, biological, behavioral, and environmental measurement, data science, and implementation research to improve health outcomes and care delivery. Implications for research, health system, public health, and policy will be examined. Students will engage in scholarly discourse and develop their research interests in this field culminating a conference ready scientific presentation of their findings based on research synthesis.
