This course introduces the student to current issues, theories, and research in health promotion, disease prevention, and risk reduction related to individuals, families, aggregates, and communities. The role of the nurse in risk assessment, counseling, education, and screening will be emphasized as well as thinking broadly about health promotion needs and health behavior from an ecological perspective. Preerquisites: NR.120.501-120.506
