creditsAverage Course Rating
Explores application and interpretation of statistical tools useful for the analysis of epidemiologic survival data. Discusses elementary survival analysis biostatistical methods such as the non-parametric estimation, life tables, Kaplan/Meire survival probabilities, and Coxregression analysis. Equally, discusses parametric approaches based on exponential and Weibull probability distributions. Presents several simple statistical techniques often useful in specific situations rarely found in introductory statistical analysis texts. Two example are the capture/recapture method for estimation of population size, both human and animal populations, and a survey response technique that guarantees complete confidentially.
