Considers both short- and long-term policing impacts, both positive or negative, on the health and safety of communities and individuals through various interactions with the public. Explores how public safety is reimagined through a public health lens to understand the impacts of police on social determinants of health, justice, and equity. Examines needed reforms, police-community relationships, and strategies to co-create public safety.
