Introduces the application of common econometric methods to address questions of concern to policy makers, administrators, managers, and program participants regarding the evaluation of health programs. Combines a theoretical development of methods and a numerical application involving continuous dependent variables. Emphasizes the correct use of data in framing relevant questions and understanding the importance as well as the limitations of data analysis in order to equip students with the quantitative skills necessary to evaluate policy alternatives.
