Explores organizational behavior perspectives and theories, which provide the framework for the critical study of management, and the interpersonal skills and knowledge required by managers in the dynamic health sector. Developes an approach to thinking about health sector organizations and their complexity. Emphasizes current thinking and the application of theory to practice in the areas of governance, leadership, and management, employee motivation (e.g., empowering others), group behavior and team development (e.g., fostering collaboration and decision-making), power and influence plus conflict management and negotiation skills.
