Examines technologies for collecting, obtaining, and creating spatial data. Includes these technologies, but are not limited to GPS, tablets, tracking devices, cell phones, Google Earth, remote sensing applications, and the Internet. Introduces software applications such as ArcGIS, QGIS, and R for integrating spatial data from the aforementioned technologies into usable forms for spatial analysis. Covers metadata, data accuracy, and confidentiality/disclosure issues.
