Emphasizes the analysis of public policies that have been developed by national and international agencies and how they have impacted the growth of those inequalities. Analyzes social class, race, and gender inequalities and their reproduction through national and international policies. Also emphasizes the increasing concentration of power and the way it appears in health and vital statistics. Requires active participation of the students in the discussion of the issues involved.
