The Health Policy Research Scholars program is aimed at increasing diversity among researchers in health policy to advance a Culture of Health. In order to increase diversity in health policy research the Health Policy Research Scholars (HPRS) Program aims to train a large cadre of doctoral students from groups underrepresented in health policy to conduct and engage in policy relevant research that will reduce health disparities and increase health equity. The purpose of this program is to support and enhance the Ph.D. training of students from different disciplines who are committed to advancing the Culture of Health as well as encourage students to participate in interdisciplinary research that impacts health policy.
