June 19 – 23, 2017 Monday-Friday, 9:45 am-3:30 pm Application deadline: June 1, 2017 Anastasia Pike and Michaela Trnkova, Co-Directors Faculty: Michaela Trnkova, Anastasia Pike A one-week intensive harp summer program, for intermediate to advanced students of all ages, designed to assist in developing harpists through the exploration of ensemble performance, stage presence and harp maintenance. Enrichment activities, rehearsals and coachings will culminate with all students performing on the last afternoon of the program in a concert. Students and families will have the additional opportunity on Friday to enjoy a vendor fair sponsored by the Virginia Harp Center. Minimum of eight students. In audition CD/DVD recording of a current piece student is working on must be submitted by deadline for students not enrolled in individual instruction at the Preparatory to be considered for acceptance. Brochure and application form can be downloaded at www.peabody.jhu.edu/harpfest. Tuition is due in full with application. Applications submitted without full payment will not be considered. Early registration is encouraged to guarantee a space. If the deadline has passed, please call the Preparatory Office to see if we are still accepting late applications, which we will do depending on space availability. In the event the program is full or canceled, students will receive a full refund.
