The Open Program classes are designed for students of all ages and abilities who love to dance and want high-quality training with a less intensive schedule. The Beginners contemporary dance class focuses on principles of classic modern dance techniques to develop core strength, flexibility, versatility of movement styles, and creativity. This class accommodates beginners and advanced beginners (up to two years of previous modern dance or contemporary dance training) who wish to improve technique and experience improvisation. Students do not participate in a year-end performance; studio observation opportunities are offered throughout the year. No placement class required. Students provide their own dance attire.
