This course for adults will cover the basics of cello playing in a fun, supportive environment. Prerequisite for this class is Beginner Cello for Adults. No prior musical experience is necessary. Audition and placement is not required. Students will learn basic setup, bow hold and sound productionby learning simple folk songs and gradually expand the student's playing ability through the study of Suzuki cello book 1. Adults must contact the instructor by email at bchen3@peabody.jhu.edu to schedule placement interview. Students must obtain their own instrument for the class. SUMMER SESSION IS FOR SPRING CONTINUING STUDENTS ONLY.
