This class will offer focused work on sight reading. Designed for students at elementary level 2 and above, the class will concentrate on how to approach reading rhythms, notes, and musical markings as well as the recognition of patterns. Music for four hands will be used to enforce the fundamentals of sight reading, which are to read continuously in time and to look ahead while playing. Emphasis will be on reviewing theoretical materials, playing games to reinforce concepts and skills, and playing the piano. Minimum of four students.
