"Students will have the opportunity to hone their skills and build confidence with mock auditions, feedback, and coaching. Discussion topics will include how to manage nerves, how to prepare music copies, what to wear, what to say, and other practical skills. This class is ideal for those preparing magnet school as well as general auditions. Open to all singers (you do not have to be studying with a Peabody Preparatory teacher to participate). Minimum of 4 students. Requirements: Students should have at least one already-prepared and memorized selection suitable for their range and voice type e.g. a classical art song in any language, a ""legit"" musical theater song such as Rodgers & Hammerstein, or a complete solo song that has been assigned or recommended for school auditions.
