This class is a weekly session that provides an opportunity for students ages 10-18 to perform for Peabody faculty members and guest artists. Topics will include audition skills, college preparation, chamber music, injury prevention, music history, instrument maintenance, improvisation, community engagement and other performance skills. Students will have an opportunity to perform solos and small chamber music pieces with an accompanist amongst their peers and other members of Baltimore's music community. Guests will include wind and brass faculty from both Peabody Preparatory and Conservatory, Baltimore Symphony Orchestra musicians, members of the area's military service bands and many more. The class meets weekly for 45 minutes. The class is open to all woodwind and brass students.
