Designed for children who consistently sing in tune and move rhythmically. Having cracked the code of the adult musical world, children will begin to label its elements and prepare for music literacy. Instead of learning the names of notes, children in this advanced class will take steps to actually “hear what they see,” much as a child who reads and comprehends the words to a story without sounding out letters. They will also begin to develop skills on the xylophone or recorder. This class is strongly recommended for those interested in subsequent instrumental lessons. Joining Music for Developing Musicians classes mid-year is rarely recommended. Minimum of five students. An additional non-refundable materials fee per semester will automatically be charged with registration. NEW Spring students admitted by instructor approval ONLY .
