Having developed a masterful hold on the vocabularies of music, children distinguish between major and minor tonalities and double and triple meters. They also comprehend the basic harmonic functions of music. Having the power to intelligently distinguish among these elements, children are ready to fully understand, replicate, create, improvise, read, and write music. Joining Advanced Music Readiness class mid-year is rarely recommended. Prerequisite: By instructor approval only with completion of one year of Music for Developing Musicians.
