Training for prospective violin/viola teachers with study of various pedagogues. Materials covered include setup, left hand, bow hand, sequencing of instruction and repertoire from the beginning to advanced levels. Observation of violin/viola instructors in the Peabody Preparatory and supervised studio teaching experience. Observation and studio work part of the time of instruction for this course in addition to weekly class meetings. Open to both upper-level undergraduates and graduate majors in the fall semester and by permission of instructor in the spring semester.
