Intro to PA&H is a seminar course designed for students pursuing a graduate degree who in the course of their careers as performer, educator, administrator, or researcher have an interest in the occupational health of those involved with the performing arts. The course is designed to introduce students to the history, theory, and research practices regarding the most prevalent musculoskeletal, vocal, audiologic, and mental health issues facing musicians, as individuals or groups. Emphasis is on the role of academic disciplines and/or socio-ecological contexts of learning the performing arts.
