This full-year Music Theory review class is designed for graduate students who need a firmer grounding in the basic elements of tonal music, including keys, scales, chords, line, voice leading, harmonization techniques, and diatonic harmony. Studies will continue through chromatic aspects of tonal music, including its processes and formal designs, into 20th-century techniques. Open to graduate students only.
